The looch activity feed lets you categorize a transaction, change a transaction category, or split a transaction across categories before you enter it. For each 'Not entered' transaction, looch AI provides an auto-suggested category, while an 'Entered' transaction has a category you’ve reviewed and confirmed or changed. A looch transaction marked 'Entered' is included in your financial reports with its confirmed category, while a 'Not entered' transaction can be included with looch AI’s auto-suggested category.

You can review the category and enter the transaction
In the nav bar, go to Cash, then Activity. Transactions that still need your review read 'Not entered'.
Tap the transaction to open 'Spent money' or 'Received money'.
Check the 'Contact' row, then tap it to choose a different contact if it’s wrong.
Tap the category card to open 'Spent money:Category' or 'Received money:Category'.
Tap the category you want. looch applies it and returns to the transaction.
Tap 'Enter'. The button changes to 'Entered'.
Categories and entry states work together
With the category list’s 'Suggested' filter on, the list shows suggested categories. To see every category, tap 'Suggested', then 'Clear & close'. The pill then reads 'All categories', with a search button beside it.
An entered transaction’s category and contact are locked. Tap 'Entered' to mark it 'Not entered' before changing either one.
Tap 'Split' to add another category to the same transaction. Under 'Split category', tap 'Edit amount' to set how much goes to each category. You can also use 'Remove category' or 'Change category'.
A pending transaction can be entered before it settles. After you tap 'Enter', the button reads 'Enter once settled'.
If 'Prior year’s books' appears, looch asks you to consult your CPA before making changes if you’ve already filed a tax return for that year. Tap 'Cancel' or 'Proceed'.
A Seller or Employee sees 'Submit' instead of 'Enter'. The transaction stays 'Submitted' until a Manager or Executive updates it to 'Entered'.

How do I change the category on a transaction I already entered?
