How do I add a looch Pay button to my website?

A looch Pay button lets customers pay from your website: Create a no-cart online store, then add one button ID per thing you sell.

A looch Pay button is a payment button customers tap on your website to open the looch Pay modal and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. A looch Pay button can be a pay button, buy button or subscription button for an online store without a shopping cart. Each looch Pay button has its own button ID, and you’ll create one button for each thing you sell.

You’ll add a store without a shopping cart

  1. From the looch menu, go to Online stores, then tap 'Add a store'.

  2. On 'Does your store have a shopping cart?', tap 'No shopping cart'.

  3. Enter your website and tap 'Next'.

  4. Pick one of your tracking tags or type a new one, then tap 'Next'.

  5. Check 'Online store review' and tap 'Add online store'. looch shows 'Store added'.

The Store:Shopping cart or button screen asks Does your store have a shopping cart? with No shopping cart chosen in the looch app.
The Online store review screen shows the store’s name, selling method, website and tracking tag in the looch app.
The Store added sheet says the store needs at least one button before it can take payments in the looch app.

You’ll create a looch Pay button

  1. Open the store from Online stores and tap 'Create a button'.

  2. Name the button, choose 'Product' or 'Service', and tap 'Next'.

  3. Choose a theme, then choose 'Pay', 'Buy', 'Check out' or 'Subscribe' on the 'Label' tab, and tap 'Next'.

  4. Enter the price, add the frequency and an optional trial for 'Subscribe', then tap 'Next'.

  5. Answer 'Is this item taxable?' and 'Who pays the card fee?'.

  6. Check 'Button review' and tap 'Create button'. looch shows 'Button added'.

You’ll put the button on your website

  1. Open the button under Buttons and tap the copy icon beside 'Button ID'.

  2. Copy the snippet below, paste it into your website where the button goes, and replace the sample button ID with yours. Keep the comment in the snippet.

The snippet loads looch Pay each time the page opens, so don’t copy its file into your site. A looch Pay button works on any website or platform.

looch Pay buttons follow a few rules

  • Create one button per thing you sell, and give each button its own name.

  • A button can’t be edited or deleted. Permanently deleting its store deletes all of the store’s buttons.

  • Resize a button only by changing its container width, up to 292 px, while keeping its aspect ratio. Don’t restyle, relabel, cover or replace it under section 7 of the terms of service.

Common questions about looch Pay buttons

Where do I find my looch Pay button ID?

The looch app shows the button ID only on 'Button details'. Open the store, tap the button under Buttons, then tap the copy icon beside 'Button ID'.

Can I make the looch Pay button match my website’s design?

A looch Pay button can be resized through its container width, up to 292 px, with its aspect ratio kept. A looch Pay button can’t be restyled, recolored, relabeled, covered or replaced.

Can I sell a subscription with a looch Pay button?

A looch Pay button labeled 'Subscribe' supports weekly, monthly or annual subscriptions. A looch Pay button can also include an optional free or paid trial from 1 to 90 days.

Can I edit a looch Pay button after I create it?

A looch Pay button can’t be edited or deleted after creation. Deleting its store is permanent and deletes every button in that store.

My store uses a shopping cart. Do I need a button?

A looch Pay button is for a store without a shopping cart. A store with a shopping cart uses 'It has a shopping cart' to connect through its platform instead.
