How do I claim a payment sent to me with looch?

looch lets unverified businesses claim payments free by Smartcard or by bank transfer, with bank fees ranging from free to $20.

looch lets an unverified business claim a payment sent by a looch business, including while its profile is being reviewed. looch offers two ways to receive the money: A Smartcard, which is a virtual Visa card that works everywhere Visa is accepted, or a transfer to a bank account. looch charges no fee for a Smartcard, while bank transfer fees range from free to $20.

Choose the payments to claim

  1. Open the 'Get paid' tab and select 'Unclaimed'.

  2. Tap one or more payments from the same looch business, then tap 'Claim · 1'.

Claim the payment with a Smartcard

  1. Tap 'Smartcard' on 'Choose a payment method', then tap 'Next'.

  2. Tap 'Create Smartcard' on 'Create Smartcard'.

  3. Add the Smartcard to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on 'Your Smartcard is ready', or tap 'I’ll do this later'.

Claim the payment by bank transfer

  1. Tap 'Bank transfer' on 'Choose a payment method', then tap 'Next'.

  2. Pick an account under 'Choose a bank account', or tap 'Add a bank account' and add one, then tap 'Next'.

  3. Choose 'Instant payment', 'Standard payment (next business day)', or 'Wire payment' on 'Claim:When should it arrive?', then tap 'Next'.

  4. Check 'Payment method', 'Account', 'Payment amount', 'Payment fee', and 'Net payment' on 'Payment review', then slide 'Claim payment'.

  5. Confirm that looch shows 'Payment claimed'.

A US bank account needs a 9-digit routing number and a 6 to 17-digit account number. A foreign bank account uses that country’s bank details.

One claim can include payments from only one looch business. looch shows 'One contact per claim' if needed. A claim can’t be canceled.

Common questions about claiming payments

How much does it cost to claim a payment with looch?

looch charges nothing for a Smartcard or standard payment. An instant payment to a US bank account costs 1.5% (min $0.50, max $20), and a wire payment costs $20.

Can I get paid in my own currency?

looch can send a payment to a foreign bank account in its local currency for free, even when paid instantly.

Should I claim with a Smartcard or a bank transfer?

A looch Smartcard is instant and free, while a bank transfer can send USD or local currency to your bank account. Your Smartcards appear on the 'Smartcards' tab.

Can I claim payments from two businesses at once?

looch limits each claim to payments from one looch business.

What happens if a payment I claimed comes back?

looch marks the payment 'Returned' on the 'Claimed' tab and makes the returned amount ready to claim again.
